This is Glasgow’s new marketing campaign. I like it (it certainly makes a welcome change from the consumerist ‘Scotland with style’ bollocks that this replaces) and from the FB comments I’ve seen, this concept rings true for lots of people I know.
It’s definitely something I can identify with (although presumably it’s not just true of this place).
Two of my best Glasgow people are about to leave. I have known them for most of the time I’ve lived here and they have both shaped the person I am now.
They both have excellent reasons for going and I’m happy and excited for them.
But thinking about them not being here near me gives me a funny wee feeling in my tummy.
